Description
The StarTech.com SFP+ transceiver module, in silver, is designed for 10 Gigabit Ethernet connections over copper cable. It offers a maximum data transfer rate of 10000 Mbit/s and reaches a maximum transfer distance of 30 m over Cat6 or Cat5e cable. Its interface type is SFP+ and its SFP transceiver type is copper, complying with the IEEE 802.3an network standard. It incorporates auto MDI/MDI-X functions and supports full and half duplex (duplex) systems to adapt to different link configurations. The hot-swap function allows it to be replaced without switching off the equipment, and its steel zinc housing gives it durability. With dimensions of 13.4 x 14 x 69.8 mm (width x height x depth) and a weight of 58 g, it is compact and lightweight. It has a power consumption of 2.3 W and a mean time between failures of 4598430 h. It is compatible with Cisco equipment and has CE, FCC and RoHS certification.
