Description
StarTech.com LC to LC OM3 multimode fibre optic cable is a connection solution for 100 Gbit/s networks. It comes in aqua and offers a cable length of 1 m, with a weight of 15 g. As multimode fibre with a full duplex structure, it allows bidirectional data transmission between compatible equipment. Its male LC connectors at both ends are designed for a firm and direct coupling. The core has a diameter of 50 µm and the cladding 125 µm, which corresponds to the 50/125 µm designation usual in this type of installation. It supports wavelengths of 850 nm, suitable for short-distance optical links with VCSEL lasers. The low smoke zero halogen (LSZH) material jacket helps to reduce the emission of toxic gases in the event of fire, a relevant aspect in enclosed environments.
