Description
The StarTech.com 1-port Gigabit Ethernet PCI Express network card installs inside the computer and adds an RJ45 wired connection. Its PCI Express host interface and Realtek RTL8111H chipset handle traffic at a data transfer rate of 10, 100 and 1000 Mbit/s over 10/100/1000BaseT(X) cabling. It supports full duplex and 9000 Jumbo frames, as well as the IEEE Auto MDIX standard and CSMA/CD protocols. It is compatible with the IEEE 802.3, IEEE 802.3ab, IEEE 802.3u and IEEE 802.3x network standards and offers Linux support. The activity and link LEDs show the connection status at all times. Measuring 18 x 49 x 70 mm and weighing 27 g, its low-profile format fits compact cases.
