Description
INLINE fan silencer that is placed between the fan and the case to dampen vibrations and reduce operating noise. It is made of rubber, a material that absorbs the small oscillations of the fan while running well. Its grey colour allows it to blend discreetly into most cases and setups. The 8 cm diameter fits fans of that size, a common format in compact cases and heatsinks. With a weight of 3 g, it barely adds any load to the structure where it is installed. It is easily fitted during assembly, between the fan and the mounting panel, without the need for special tools. It is a simple, lightweight part that helps to look after the acoustic side of the system.
