With a mean time between failures of 2,000,000 hours and a workload rate limit of 550 TB/year, it is built to withstand continuous and demanding use. It also supports hot-swap extraction and operates correctly at altitudes up to 3,048 metres, with an operating temperature range between 5 and 60 °C.
