Description
Connect a device with a DB-9 serial port to a computer via USB with the StarTech.com adapter. This USB to serial converter has a 0.9 m cable, with a male DB-9 connector with straight form factor at one end and a male 4-pin USB Type-A connector with USB 2.0 specification at the other. It features the Prolific PL2303RA chipset and a black plastic housing, with dimensions of 45 x 16 x 34 mm (width x height x depth) and a weight of 39.2 g. It supports data bit settings of 5, 6, 7 and 8, stop bits of 1, 1.5 and 2, and DTR/DSR and XON/XOFF flow control, as well as even, mark, odd and space parity modes. It is suitable for connecting PLCs, printers or scanners with an RS232 port to a modern computer that does not have that connection. It supports a storage temperature range of -20 to 100 °C and a relative humidity of between 20 and 80 %.
