Description
Connect two network devices with this 2 m cable from StarTech.com, a Cat6 patch cord that reaches data transfer speeds of up to 1000 Mbit/s thanks to its Gigabit Ethernet interface. Its two male RJ-45 connectors, with gold-plated contacts, work at a frequency of 650 MHz over a 24 AWG stranded copper conductor. The polyvinyl chloride (PVC) jacket protects the cable, which has a CMG (CM) rating, while the U/UTP shielding helps maintain signal integrity in typical installations. Each end features a protective boot for the connector, useful when inserting and removing the cable frequently. By supporting Power over Ethernet (PoE), it can power compatible devices such as access points or cameras over the same data line. It comes in yellow and weighs 84 g, making it easy to handle and store.
