Description
The LINDY 48394 networking cable is a grey patch cable with a 5 m lead, designed to link equipment within a network installation. Both ends are fitted with male RJ-45 connectors, so you can plug it directly into a switch, a router, a patch panel or a computer's network card. The conductor is 26 AWG gauge and the assembly is categorised as Cat5e. The shielding is F/UTP (FTP), a configuration that combines the overall foil around the four pairs with individually unshielded pairs, which helps to contain external interference on runs where the cable passes close to other installations. With this length, it covers the typical span between a wall socket and the workplace, or between two nearby devices within the same rack. The flexible sheath makes it easy to route through trunking and around corners without straining the connector.
