Description
The ATEN USB 2.0 Cat 5 Extender is a console transmitter and receiver that allows the USB signal to be carried much further than a conventional cable reaches. It supports Cat5, Cat5e and Cat6 cables, so you can reuse the network cabling already installed in your home or office. It reaches a maximum transfer distance of 60 m, enough to span several rooms without losing the connection to the equipment. It maintains a data transfer rate of 480 Mbit/s, the standard USB 2.0 rate, so connected peripherals respond normally. It features two USB 2.0 type A ports and two RJ-45 ports, plus a DC input jack for power. It is plug and play, with no need to install drivers or configure anything. The housing is plastic and the unit is grey, with dimensions of 31 x 21.9 x 63 mm (width x height x depth) and a weight of 170 g.
