Description

The ASUS ZenDrive U9M writer is an external DVD±RW type optical drive that connects via USB 2.0 and is designed for use with a laptop. Its black colour and horizontal mounting suit desktop use alongside the equipment, and its weight of 245 g together with dimensions of 135.5 x 13.9 x 142.5 mm (width x height x depth) make it a compact and easy-to-carry device. Disc loading is via tray and it supports 80 and 120 mm diameter optical discs. It writes DVD+R and DVD+RW at 8x, DVD-R at 8x, DVD-RW at 6x and double-layer DVD-R at 6x, while in compact format it reaches 24x in both CD-R and CD-RW. It also works with DVD+R M-DISC, which it writes at 4x and reads at 8x. It also recognises CD-ROM, DVD+R and DVD+R DL media, among others, covering both reading and writing of the usual formats.
